BEAUTY FAVORITES – AUGUST 2016

Hi! Time for August beauty favorites! I know this comes super late, but I had the list ready, so I thought I should do it anyway :) So hopefully you don’t mind. I have three lip products, two other makeup products, a perfume, two hair products and a skincare item. So let’s get into it, shall we? :)

Hei! Elokuun kauneus suosikkejen aika! Tiedän, että tämä tulee super myöhässä, mutta ajattelin tehdä tämän joka tapauksessa, koska mulla oli tuotelista jo valmiina :) Joten toivottavasti se ei haittaa. Tällä kertaa mukana on kolme huulituotetta, kaksi muuta meikkituotetta, hajuvesi, kaksi hiustuotetta ja ihonhoitotuote. Joten mennäänpäs sitten niihin tuotteisiin :)

Urban Decay Afterglow highlighter in the shade Aura. When these launched in Finland, I managed to get my hands on one, because I were in Helsinki just couple days after the launch. I was thinking between this and the golden one, but decided to take this one, because the gold one looked similar to my Mary-Lou Manizer. Thankfully I bought Aura, because this looks GORGEOUS on fair skin! I think this will also be a perfect frosty winter highlight, when using it lightly on the cheek bones. You can see me wearing Aura in this and this makeup look. The texture is perfect to my taste and now I’m thinking of buying the gold one too. Should I?

Urban Decay Afterglow highlighter sävyssä Aura. Kun nämä vihdoin julkaistiin suomessa, onnistuin saamaan yhden käsiini, koska olin sattumoisin juuri pari päivää myöhemmin Helsingissä. Pähkäilin pitkään tämän ja saman sarjan kultaisen highlighterin välillä, mutta päädyin sitten tähän, koska se kultainen muistutti kovasti Mary-Lou highlighteriani. Onneksi ostin juuri tämän sävyn, koska se näyttää UPEALTA vaalealla iholla! Talveksi tämä tulee olemaan vielä täydellisempi, koska sävy on juuri täydellisen huuhteinen talvisävy. Näet Auran meikkilookeissa täällä ja täällä. Koostumus on täydellinen mun makuun ja nyt pähkäilen jo pitäisikö mun ostaa se kultainenkin. Ehkä?

My ultimate favorite lip gloss of all time! Rimmel oh my gloss! in the shade Snog. Perfect pigment, shine (but not glitter), color and lasts well on the lips. This is my favorite color from the whole oh my gloss line, which is my favorite lip gloss texture :) I have used this nonstop throughout the summer and I think I will only use this more in the autumn! Mun ehdoton lempi huulikiilto kautta aikojen! Rimmelin oh my gloss! sävyssä Snog. Täydellinen pigmentti, kiilto (muttei glitterinen), sävy ja kestää huulilla muita kiiltoja paremmin. Tämä on koko oh my gloss linjasta lempisävyni ja kyseinen linja on siis lempi koostumukseni kaikista huulikiilloista, joita olen ikinä kokeillut :) Olen käyttänyt kyseistä huulikiiltoa koko kesän ja uskon, että sävy on vain enemmän käytössä kohti syksyä! These new L.A. Girl’s Matte flat velvet lipsticks, that I got from Pastelbeauty. I have used these like every other time I wore makeup in August. I just love the colors and also the texture of these. These felt like nothing on your lips! The best feeling ever when you’re wearing lipstick. I wrote more about these in here and swatched them too :) Full review on these is still coming.

Nämä L.A. Girlin Matte flat velvet huulipunat, jotka sain Pastelbeautylta. Olen käyttänyt näitä elokuussa noin joka toinen kerta meikatessani. Sävyt ja koostumus ovat vain kaiken sen rakkauden arvoista. Huulilla nämä tuntuvat siltä kuin huulilla ei olisi yhtään mitään! Paras tunne huulipunaa käyttäessä. Kirjoitin enemmän näistä kahdesta täällä :) Täysi arviointi on vielä silti tuloillaan.

Makeup Geek’s Shimma Shimma eyeshadow. I love to use this as an inner corner highlight and to highlight my brow bone. This is also a good highlight in general, if you like your cheekbones to have glittery highlight. I couldn’t do my makeup without this anymore! Makeup Geekin Shimma Shimma luomiväri. Rakastan käyttää tätä korostamaan silmien sisänurkkia ja myös korostamaan kulmaluuta kulmakarvojen alla. Tämä on ylipäätään mahtava highlighteri ja jos et välitä glitterisestä korostuksesta, on tämä upea myös poskipäillä. En pystyisi enään tekemään meikkiäni ilman tätä! My favorite summer perfume! Marc Jacobs Daisy. I haven’t never use a perfume this much. Just look at the bottle. So crazy! This is a fantastic day scent and it’s also a good decorative piece.

Mun lemppari kesätuoksu! Marc Jacobs Daisy. En ole ikinä käyttänyt yhtä hajuvettä määrällisesti näin paljoa, kuin tätä. Katsokaa nyt tuota pulloa. Hullua! Tämä on täydellinen kukkainen päivätuoksu ja mahtava koriste-esine.

My two new favorite hair care products! I’m not that girl who uses 74 different products on her hair, so the fact that I have found two products I put onto my hair every week is a big deal :) Cutrin’s premium oil treatment is great to put into hair after shower and it gives a lot of moisture and healthy looking shine. Schwarzkopf Moisture Kick beauty balm is also a great way to lock some moisture into the hair. And the texture it leaves. After using this I can’t do anything else than touch my hair all the time. It’s so soft. With these two I’m ready for the cold winter!

Mun kaksi uutta lemppari hiustuotetta! Mä en yksinkertaisesti ole vaan se tyttö, joka käyttää 74 eri hiustuotetta tukkaansa. Joten se seikka, että käytän nykyään kahta ylimääräistä hiustenhoito tuotetta joka viikko on suuri juttu mulle :) Cutrinin premium oil treatment on ihana tuote käytettäväksi suihkun jälkeen. Se kosteuttaa hiusta hyvin ja antaa kaunista luonnollisen näköistä kiiltoa hiuksiin. Schwarzkopf Moisture Kick beauty balm on myös mahtava kosteuttava hiusten hoitotuote, joka lukitsee kosteuden hiuksiin pariksi päiväksi. Ja se tuntuma minkä tämä tuote jättää hiuksiin. Tämän käytön jälkeen ainoa asia, jota kykenen tekemään, on hiusteni jatkuva silittäminen. Niin pehmeää. Näiden kahden tuotteen kanssa olen kyllä valmis tulevaan talveen.

Glamglow powermud face mask. This is a pore cleansing face mask that melts into an oil base face scrub when you add water in it. I put this on to my dry skin and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. At first it felts like the skin is on fire and it stings a lot, but I think this is still a good mask for sensitive skin (not for really dry skin). This is a fantastic mask to prevent clogged pores, because it clears the pores from makeup remains, remains of air pollution and all of the nasty stuff normal cleansers can’t get off the pores. I use this ones in a week or two. I also love that when you wash this off, you can also exfoliate your skin with the wet mask ingredients. Amazing skincare product!

And that was all of the “August beauty favorites”! Other things I have loved in August were songs like: Fifth Harmony – All in my head (flex), Jessie J – Mama knows best, Megan Trainor – Me Too and Ariana Grande – Into you. Also Suicide Squad was AMAZING movie! You should definitely watch it, if you haven’t already. I also watched a tv-series called Touch on Netflix and it was a great series and definitely worth of watching :) What are your beauty favorites right now? Glamglow powermud naamio. Tämä on naamio, joka muuttuu vettä lisäämällä öljyiseksi kuorinnaksi. Laitan tämän kasvojen kuivalle iholle ja annan sen olla 20-30 minuuttia. Aluksi iho tuntuu olevan ilmiliekeissä ja naamio kyllä ”polttaa” ihoa, mutta mielestäni tämä on silti mainio naamio myös herkälle iholle (ei kylläkään kuivalle iholle). Mahtava naamio ehkäisemään tukkeutuneita ihohuokosia, koska se todella kaivaa kaikki meikinrippeet, ilmansaaste jäämät ja kaiken iljettävän moskan, joita normaalit puhdistusaineet eivät saa pois ihohuokoisista. Käytän tätä kerran viikossa tai kahdessa viikossa. Rakastan myös sitä seikkaa, että kun tämän on pitänyt kasvoilla naamiona, saa siitä veden avulla samalla myös kasvokuorinnan . Uskomaton tuote!

Ja siinä olivat kaikki “Elokuun kauneussuosikit”! TWO GLITTERS STYLE – MAKEUP LOOK

Hello! Here is one look I forgot to share with you last month. This is an eye makeup “style” I wore the most. Two transition shades, lighter glitter eyeshadow on the inner parts of the lids, darker glitter eyeshadow on the out of corners, some highlight on the inner corners + on the brow bone and middle toned brown on the lower lashline! I do this look often when I go out and I just switch out the glitter shades for oranges, browns, pinks, purples and so on :) It makes the look so different, if you example use glittery orange instead of the grandstand (3 in the picture). Same technic, but totally different looking eye makeup. You should definitely give this ago! And of course with your favorite colors :) You can also do this with all matte shades. I’m thinking of doing a step-by-step tutorial with this technic, after I have done and filmed more looks with this technic. Are you interested? :) And next post will be a REALLY late “August beauty favorites” and about a week from that you will get to know my “September beauty favorites”. Heipparallaa! Tämmöiset kuvat olivat hautautuneet mun tietokoneen uumeniin viime kuulta ja olin täysin unohtanut näyttää nämä teille. Tässä meikissä olen käyttänyt silmämeikki tyyliä, jota käytän useinten ulos mennessäni. Kaksi häivytyssävyä, vaaleampi kimalle luomiväri sisänurkasta puoleen väliin silmäluomea, tummempi kimalle luomiväri ulkonurkasta puoleen väliin silmäluomea, korostus luomiväri silmien sisänurkkiin + kulmaluulle ja viimeiseksi keskiruskean sävyistä luomiväriä ala ripsirajaan! Tätä silmämeikki tyyliä tulee tosiaan tehtyä ulos useasti ja vaihtamalla kimaltavien luomivärien sävyjä esimerkiksi oranssin sävyisiin, pinkkeihin, ruskeisiin, violetteihin ja niin edelleen muuttuu lookki aika tavalla :) Sama tekniikka, mutta totaalisen erinäköinen silmämeikki. Tätä kannattaa ehdottomasti testata! Ja tietenkin omilla lempi sävyillä :) Samaa tyyliä voi toki soveltaa täysin mattoihin luomiväreihinkin. Ajattelin tehdä tästä tyylistä askel-askeleelta tutoriaalin, kunhan ensin saan kuvattua lisää lookkeja kyseisellä tyylillä. Kiinnostaisiko teitä tällainen? :) Ai niin, seuraava postaus tulee olemaan TODELLA myöhäinen ”Elokuun kauneussuosikit” ja noin viikon päästä siitä tulee sitten ”Syyskuun kauneussuosikit”. WE CARE ICON – BLUSH DUO

We care icon perfect wear blush natural glow in the shade 2 Perfect Rose. I bought this a quit time ago and introduced it in this post :) This has been my favorite everyday blush for a long time, but I rarely show it in here. I try to use different blushes (as any makeup) in makeup look to keep them versatile and to not stuck on to one product. But off camera this is what I often wear on my cheeks. Want to know why?

Ostin tämän itseasiassa jo jokunen tovi sitten ja esittelyssäkin tämä vilahti tässä postauksessa :) Tämä on jo pidemmän aikaa ollut mun luotto poskipuna niin arkeen kuin juhlaan, mutta täällä tämä vilahtelee kyllä harvoin. Yritän meikkilookeissa käyttää aina eri tuotteita ja poskipunia pitääkseni vaihtelevuuden virkistyksen elossa ja jotta en jumittuisi yhteen samaan tuotteeseen. Kameran edessä olon ulkopuolella tämä on kyllä lähes aina poskillani. Haluatko tietää miksi?

This is how the blushes look separately! Gorgeous right? This blush duo is SO pigmented, that I think it’s going to take a while to hit the pan. And the price is (are you ready?) 8.90 euros at Sokos. Nine euros for a two blush duo, that is super pigmented and blends out smoothly. I love to mix the colors together to create a natural looking flash of color on my cheeks. Depending on the look, I also like to use the blushes separately. Pink blush for cool toned makeup looks and peachy blush for more warm toned looks. You can’t go wrong with this one! Below you can see how the blush duo’s blushes look on the cheeks :)

Tältä nuo poskipunat näyttävät erikseen! Uskomattoman kauniita, eikös? Tämä poskipuna kaksikko on NIIN pigmenttistä ja uskon että pohjaan osuminen vie tovin jos toisenkin. Ja hintaa tällä on (oletteko valmiita?) 8.90 euroa Sokoksella. Yhdeksän euroa kahdesta poskipunasta, jotka ovat super pigmenttisiä ja helposti levittyviä. Rakastan sekoittaa näitä kahta sävyä luodakseni uuden poskipuna sävyn. Näistä syntyvä yhdistelmä näyttää poskilla niin luonnolliselta. Meikkilookista riippuen käytän poskipunia myös erikseen. Laitan pinkimpää kylmänsävyisiin meikkeihin ja persikan sävyistä poskipunaa enemmän lämpimämmän sävyisiin meikkeihin. Tällä ei voi mennä vikaan! AUTUMN HERE WE COME – MAKEUP LOOK

Hello! Autumn is coming, so colors turn darker and more dramatic in makeup looks! I wanted to do a little bit more colorful autumn look and used dark pink tones in this makeup :) I really love this look! What do you guys think? I used Makeup Geek’s black eyeshadow called Corrupt for the first time and DAM it’s pigmented! I used the tiniest bit I could get into my brush and still got a really black outcome. This as an eyeshadow liner, YES please :) And how cool is that lip color for fall and winter! Hoping this will inspire you to do dramatic and more colorful autumn makeup looks :) Bye bye – Mari

Heippa! Syksy on tulossa kovaa vauhtia, joten on aika vaihtaa meikkien sävyt tummempiin ja lookit dramaattisempiin! Halusin aloittaa tällaisella vähän värikkäämmällä syksylookilla ja sävyinä käytin paljon tumman pinkkiä :) Mä tykkään! Mitäs te? Käytin ensimmäistä kertaa Makeup Geekin mustaa luomiväriä nimeltä Corrupt ja DAM se on pigmenttistä! Käytin niin pientä hipausta kun siveltimellä saa otettua ja katsokaa nyt tuota tummuutta.
