ESSENCE SPRING 2017 – NEW INTERESTING PRODUCTS

Hello! I got two pr packages from Essence and there were some cool new products that I was so excited to test out :) So I thought I would show you a preview of those products right away (the ones that looked the most interesting to me), although I haven’t try them out yet or tried them out much yet. So let’s see what new products Essence has released lately!

Heissan! Sain vähän aika sitten kaksi pr-pakettia Essenceltä ja niistä löytyi monia erittäin mielenkiintoisia tuotteita, joista olin innoissani :) Ajattelin, että olisi hauskaa näyttää teille ne mun silmiin erityisesti pistäneet tuotteet yhdessä postauksessa, ennen kuin olen niitä hirveästi ehtinyt testaamaan eli ennen kuin olen luonut niistä täyden oman mielipiteen. Joten kurkataanpas mitä uutuuksia Essence on lähiaikoina julkaissut ja mitä muuta ihanaa paketeista löytyi, jotka näyttivät mun silmiin erityisen innostavilta!

Firstly I got the satin touch blush in the shade 20 satin love. This is not a quite new product, but I wanted to show it to you, because I already have the coral shade sating touch blush from Essence and I absolutely love the formula and the shade. Now I got a second shade and I already tested this out and it’s so good just like the other one! The other product in the pictures is Essence’s blushplay sculpting blush palette in the shade 10 play it peach. The palette contains two blushes and one highlighter. The formula on the blushes seems really good and the colors are really pretty, so I’m excited to use this!

Ensimmäisenä paketista silmiin osui satin touch blush poskipuna sävyssä 20 satin love. Tämä ei ole yksi uusimmista julkaisuista, mutta halusin silti näyttää sen teille, koska multa löytyy näistä Essencen satin touch poskipunista aikaisemmin jo yksi persikkainen sävy ja rakastan sitä yli kaiken. Sain siis testattavaksi toisen sävyn, joka on enemmänkin tummemman pinkkiin taittava persikkainen sävy ja se tuntuu koostumukseltaan aivan samalta kuin se mun jo omistama 10 satin coral sävy. Kokeilin tätä jo kerran poskilleni ja ah että tämäkin on niin nätti sävy ja aivan mahtava koostumukseltaan! Toinen kuvissa näkyvä tuote on Essencen blushplay sculpting blush palette eli poskipunapaletti sävyssä 10 play it peach. Tästä löytyy kaksi poskipunaa ja yksi korostussävy. Koostumus tuntuu sormilla tosi hyvältä ja värit ovat kauniita, joten en malta odottaa, että pääsen testaamaan tätä!

Essence’s new Prismatic rainbow glow highlighter in the shade 10 be unicorn! Just look how cool this looks <3 I already tested out the peachy shade and it looks so pretty and stays on the skin well. So I will be using this highlighter in more dramatic looks and maybe in some artistic looks too :)

Katsokaa nyt kuinka upealta tämä näyttää <3 Ehdin jo testaamaan tuota persikkaista sävyä pariin otteeseen ja se näyttää kauniilta poskipäillä sekä se kestää iltaan asti näkyvissä. Tätä tullaan taatusti näkemään blogin puolellakin lisää niin taiteellisemmissa lookeissa, kuin dramaattisemmissa meikeissä :)

New shape your face contouring palette in the shade 10 ready, set, peach! I really like these “all in one palettes” for travelling, so I hope this will be a good one :) I already tested out the bronzing shade and it’s more of a summer bronzer for me, because it’s warmer tone and it makes my skin look bronzy in a good way. Maybe this will be my summer travelling body? Who knows. The other exciting product is Essence’s new colour correcting liquid concealer in the shade 30 pastel green. Green color correctors are great to use under concealer or foundation to hide redness or blemishes. That’s why I’m excited to test this out too, because it’s affordable and I like green color correctors :)

Uusi shape your face contouring palette eli varjostuspaletti sävyssä 10 ready, set, peach! Henkilökohtaisesti mä tykkään tällaisista “3-in-1 kaikki yhdessä paletissa” tuotteista matkustamiseen, joten siksi toivonkin, että tämä olisi hyvä paletti :) Testasin jo tuota aurinkopuuteria ja se on mun ihonsävylle enemmänkin kesäkäyttöön sopiva, koska se luo sellaista kaunista todella lämmintä rusketusta kasvoille. Mun vaalealla iholla tämän kanssa saa olla todella huolellinen, ettei sävyä tule sudittua liikaa, mutta kevyesti käytettynä tämä on upea kesään! Ehkä tästä tulee mun kesän matkustuskaveri? Toivotaan. Toinen innostava tuote Essenceltä on tuo heidän uusi colour correcting liquid concealer eli peiteaineen muodossa oleva vastaväri punaisen peittoon, sävyssä 30 pastel green. Vihreät sävyt ovat hyviä peittämään punaisuutta ja finnejä meikkivoiteen ja tavallisen peiteaineen alla. Tykkään välillä käyttää isompien epäpuhtausrykelmien päälle vihreitä peiteaineita ja siksi olenkin innoissani testaamassa tätä Essencen edullista versiota :)

This I’m really excited about! Essence brought new single eyeshadows to the market <3 They also brought a four and eight peace palettes to fit the eyeshadows in. I got the shades (from left to right) 05 cotton candy, 06 raspberry frosting, 08 peach-party! and 18 black as a berry. Interesting idea and especially, because the eyeshadows only cost less than two euros each! I also heard that you can get single blushes and face powder to fit into the empty palette :) Cool concept from Essence!

Tästä mä olen todella innoissani! Essence toi markkinoille yksittäisiä luomivärinappeja <3 He myös kehittivät näille neljän ja kahdeksan napin paletit, johon nuo luomivärit saa kätevästi laitettua. Sain itse sävyt (vasemmalta oikealle) 05 cotton candy, 06 raspberry frosting, 08 peach-party! ja 18 black as a berry. Kiinnostava idea, varsinkin koska nämä luomivärinapit maksavat alle kaksi euroa kappale! Ymmärsin myös, että samanlaisia nappeja on myynnissä poskipunina ja valkoisena puuterina :) Ihana idea Essence!

I wanted to show you these two pencils, because they are so creamy and pigmented! Just look at those swatches <3 The first product is sculpting eye pencil in the shade 01 black to white, which is two sided pencil with a kohl liner and a creamy pencil highlighter. I will test out that highlighter pen for my brow bone, inner corners an as an eyeshadow! The highlighter is really creamy and pigmented, so we will see how it works :) The red one is Essence’s ultra last lipliner in the shade 04 fuchsia romance. Also really creamy and pigmented!

Halusin näyttää nämä kaksi kynää teille, koska nämä ovat niin kermaisia ja pigmenttisiä! Katsokaa nyt noita viivoja mun kädellä <3 Ensimmäinen noista kynistä on nimeltään sculpting eye pencil silmäkynä sävyssä 01 black to white. Kyseessä on siis kaksipuolinen kynä, jossa toisessa päässä on musta silmäkynä ja toisessa päässä kynämallissa oleva kermainen korostussävy. Haluan ehdottomasti testata tuota korostussävyä mun kulmaluulle, silmien sisänurkkiin ja myös luomivärinä silmäluomille! Saas nähdä miten se toimii :) Punainen väri on sitten taas tuosta toisesta kynästä, joka on nimeltään ultra last lipliner eli huultenrajauskynä sävyssä 04 fuchsia romance. Myös todella kermainen ja pigmenttinen!

The last product, which is also so innovating! The cushion eyeliner. So this is a liquid eyeliner soaked up in a cushion. So you just gently dip your eyeliner brush into the cushion and then do your eyeliner. Sounds so interesting! You will definitely see this in a makeup tutorial in some point, because I have to show you how this looks on.

Viimeinen tuote, joka on todella hauska uusi keksintö! The cushion eyeliner. Tämä on siis nestemäistä mustaa silmänrajausainetta, joka on kyllästetty pieniin vaahtosieneen tuon purkin sisällä. Rajaussivellin siis vain kastetaan tuohon vaahtosieneen ja sitten normaaliin tapaan tehdään silmänrajaukset. Kuulostaa niin mielenkiintoiselta! Tulette ehdottomasti näkemään tämän blogin puolella jossakin meikkilookissa tulevaisuudessa, koska haluan näyttää teille miltä tällä tehdyt silmien rajaukset näyttävät.

LILAC LIPS & NATURAL EYES – MAKEUP TUTORIAL

Hello! In today’s makeup tutorial I used a lot of new makeup that I got from pastelbeauty.fi :) All of those are new L.A. Girl’s products and I also used lot of older makeup products I have gotten from pastelbeauty. The idea for this look started with my desire to use one of the new L.A. Girl’s metal liquid lipsticks. I wanted to use a bold color, so I started with a more natural eye makeup. I have tried to do my winged liner differently, so it ended up being longer than I would have wanted it to be :D Uups. But I’m really excited about this new foundation that I used in this look for the first time ever. I hope it will treat me well :) But can we talk about this lilac lip color? I love it. Moikka! Tämän päiväisessä meikkitutoriaalissa käytin monia uusia meikkejä, jotka sain pastelbeauty.filtä :) Kaikki siis L.A. Girlin uusia tuotteita ja samalla ajattelin myös käyttää vanhempia aikaisemmin pastelbeautyltä saamiani meikkejä. Ajatus tähän meikkilookkiin lähti mun palavasta halusta päästä heti testaamaan noita L.A. Girlin uusia metal liquid lipstick huulipunia. Halusin käyttää jotain tosi rohkeaa ja värikästä sävyä, joten aloitinkin sitten tekemällä vähän luonnollisempaa silmämeikkiä. Olen lähiaikoina yrittänyt tehdä mun kissarajausta vähän eri tyylillä ja hups keikkaa siitä tuli tällä kertaa aivan liian pitkä :D Uups. Muuten, käytin tässä ensimmäistä kertaa ikinä tuota L.A Girlin uutta meikkivoidetta, josta olen super innoissani. Toivon, että se kohtelisi mua hyvin :) Mutta voidaanko me jutella tästä lilasta huulimeikistä? Mä rakastuin tähän. Rakastuin tähän sävyyn ja syvästi! Mitäs te olette siitä mieltä? Jej vai Nej? RECENT BEAUTY SHOPPING – JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2017

Hello! It’s time to show you some of my recent beauty shopping <3 Some of these I have already shown on my blog recently in my last couple “beauty favorites” posts, so they may seem familiar to you :) But I thought I would include them in here too, because this is an overdue of all my January’s and February’s beauty shopping. March’s beauty shopping “haul” is coming maybe in couple of weeks, because I have some cool posts already planned for next week :) But let’s jump on my January’s and February’s beauty “haul”!

Moikka! On aika käydä läpi mun kaikki tammi- ja helmikuun kauneusaiheiset shoppailut <3 Jotkut näistä tuotteista saattavat tuntua tutuilta, koska ne ovat jo vilahtaneet mun kahdessa viimeisessä kuukauden kauneussuosikit postauksissa :) Mutta ajattelin näyttää ne silti tässäkin postauksessa, koska käyn tässä läpi kaikki kahden kuukauden shoppailuni. Maaliskuun shoppailu postaus on tulossa parin viikon päästä, koska olen jo suunnitellut ensi viikoksi teille kivoja postauksia kirjoitettavaksi :) Mutta mennäänpäs nyt niihin tammi- ja helmikuun shoppailuihin!

I have wanted a second Morphe Brushes 35 pieces eyeshadow palette for a while now, because you get good quality eyeshadows in so many different colors in one palette. Many of the Morphe Brushes eyeshadow palettes where sold out from Beauty Bay, pastelbeauty.fi and from Cult Beauty, when I wanted to buy one. So I didn’t get the exact palette I wanted, but I ended up buying this 35P eyeshadow palette, because I really liked that one purple eye look I did couple months ago and I really want to create more purple looks. And also I think that, because this palette also has lots of browns in it, this is going to get lot of use :) And I bought this from Cult Beauty and the price was around 24 euros.

Olen jo vähän aikaa halunnut ostaa toisen Morphe Brushesin 35 sävyn luomiväripaletin, koska niissä yhdistyy hyvä laatu ja laaja värikirjo yhdessä paletissa. Monet Morphe Brushesin luomiväripaletit olivat loppu Beauty Bayltä, pastelbeauty.fistä ja Cult Beautystä, joten en saanut juuri sitä palettia, jota eniten halusin. Mutta tilasin sitten tämän 35P luomiväripaletin, koska mä niin rakastuin siihen pari kuukautta sitten tekemääni lilahtavaan silmämeikkiin ja haluan tehdä enemmänkin liloja silmämeikkejä. Ja koska tässä paletissa on myös monia neutraaleja ruskean sävyjä, uskon, että tälle tulee paljon käyttöä :) Hintaahan tälle löytyi noin 24 euron paikkeilla Cult Beautysta.

This Smashbox’s Photo Finish pore minimizing primer was already on my ”January & February – beauty favorites” post, so you can read more about it in there :) But one thing I can say to you right now about this. It’s AMAZING! This travel size one costed 12.90 euros on Silja Baltic Princess (ship).

Tämä Smashboxin Photo Finish pore minimizing primer pohjustustuote nähtiin jo mun ”tammi- ja helmikuun kauneussuosikeissa”, joten voit lukea tuosta lisää tuota linkkiä painamalla :) Mutta yhden asian voin jo tässä kertoa teille. I got Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette in February for Valentine’s Day and I introduced it on my blog in this post :) It shortly came my favorite and got to my ”March beauty favorites” post, where you can read more about it! But this is also amazing <3 I got this from Cult Beauty and it costed around 50 euros.

Sain Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Modern Renaissance luomiväripaletin ystävänpäivälahjana ja esittelinkin sen ensimmäistä kertaa jo tässä postauksessa :) Siitä tuli nopeasti mun lemppari ja tämä nähtiinkin jo mun maaliskuun kauneussuosikeissa, jossa voit lukea tästä paletista lisää! Mutta sanonpahan vaan, että tämä on UPEA <3 Tämä ostettiin mulle Cult Beautystä ja hintaa oli noin 50 euron paikkeilla.

I had seen a vlogger called Uino (UinoAino) talking about these new Organic Shop’s body scrubs in her videos, so when I saw that those scrubs had come to Sokos and they were in sale, of course I had to test them out :) The one scent that Uino always talks about was of course sold out, but I still bought these too. Coffee & Sugar and Raspberry & Sugar. These smell amazing, especially the coffee one, because the scent in that one is really strong and sweet <3 These costed 3.90 euros each.

Olin nähnyt vloggaajan nimeltä Uino (UinoAino) puhuvan näistä Organic Shopin uusista vartalonkuorinnoista videoillaan, joten kun näin että ne olivat tulleet Sokokselle myyntiin ja ne olivat vielä tarjouksessakin, oli mun ostettava muutama kotiin testattavaksi :) Tottakai se tuoksu, josta Uino aina puhuu videoillaan oli Sokoksesta loppu, mutta ostin silti nämä kaksi. Coffee & Sugar (kahvi & sokeri) sekä Raspberry & Sugar (vadelma & sokeri). Nämä tuoksuvat niin hyviltä, varsinkin tuo kahvin tuoksuinen, koska sen tuoksu on tosi vahva ja makea <3 Nämä olivat hinnaltaan tarjouksessa 3.90 euroa kappale.

Lastly I bought a limited edition twin back of Clarisonic’s deep pore brush heads in a price of one brush head from Eleven :) Actually I paid even less than that! I had to buy a new brush head for my Clarisonic and I was so excited when I saw these limited edition twin backs in eleven. I was going to buy a brush head anyway and now I got two in a same price! They also had -20%, when you bought more than 50 euros worth of products, so I got that discount too. So I paid less than 19 euros for two brush heads worth of 46.60 euros. That’s a bargain!

And that was all of my shopping in January and February :) Not that much, but definitely some of my new favorites! So that’s always a nice plus. Happy Thursday and bye bye till next time :) – Mari

Viimeisenä ostin Eleveniltä limited edition kaksoispakkauksen Clarisonicin deep pore harjapäitä yhden harjan hinnalla :) Itseasiassa maksoin niistä kyllä vielä vähemmän! Olin uuden harjaspään tarpeessa ja olin joka tapauksessa ostamassa yhden harjaspään, joten kun näin tämän kaksi-yhden-hinnalla paketin olin niin innoissani. Samaan aikaan elevenin nettisivuilla oli käynnissä ”osta 50 eurolla ja saat -20% tilauksestasi” kampanja, joten maksoin näistä 46.60 euron arvoisista harjapäistä vain alle 19 euroa. Kyllä oli mahtavat tarjoukset!

Ja siinä olivat mun kaikki shoppailut tammi- ja helmikuussa :) Ei määrältään niin paljoa, mutta monista näistä tuli mun uusia suosikkeja, joka on aina kiva plussa. Iloista torstaita ja moikka aina seuraavaan kertaan asti :) – Mari

IDHAIR – FRAME OF MIND HAIR SHOW

Hello :) Couple weeks ago I visit idhair’s frame of mind hair show in Helsinki. There were some cool hairstyles and braids, so I thought it would be cool to show you some pictures about the show :) Just look at that pastel pink curly hair on the hairdresser and also on the model above! So pretty <3 The show was mostly focused for professional hairdressers, but I really enjoyed seeing all the haircuts the instructors did and especially the different braids they did :) And because this was idhair’s show they used products from idhair, L’anza, Moroccanoil and evo. So let’s jump into the show! <3

Moikka :) Pari viikkoa sitten piipahdin Helsingissä idhairin frame of mind hiusnäytöksessä. Näytöksessä näin paljon hienoja hiustyylejä ja varsinkin kampauksia, joten ajattelin näyttää teille vähän kuvia tuolta näytöksestä :) Katsokaa nyt noita pastellin vaaleanpunaisia hiuksia niin yhdellä kouluttajista kuin myös mallilla ylempänä! Niin kaunista <3 Näytös oli suunnattu ammattipartureille, mutta kyllä tällainen ”ei-mitään-hiusten-leikkauksesta-tietävä” viihtyi siellä ihaillessa kouluttajien tekemiä hiustenleikkuita ja varsinkin niitä letityksiä :) Ja koska kyseessähän oli idhairin hiusnäytös oli kouluttajilla käytössä siis tuotteita idhairiltä, L’anzalta, Moroccanoililta ja evolta. Joten kurkataanpas sitten siihen näytökseen! <3

The show started with girls’ haircuts. The instructors had colored their models hairs before the show, so they just told what colors they had mixed to get the colors on the model and the show part was more about the haircut. All the four models had quite short hair, like you can see on the picture above, where there is two of the models, before the haircut :) So the final looks where even shorter and really edge, if I can say. Three pictures below, you will see two pictures of the final results.

Hiusnäytös alkoi naisten hiustenleikkaus näytöksellä. Kouluttajat olivat jo etukäteen värjänneet malliensa hiukset, joten näytöksen aikana he vain kertoivat millä väreillä hiukset olivat värjätty ja myös millä värjäystekniikoilla. Näin näytös keskittyikin itse hiustenleikkuuseen. Kaikilla neljällä mallilla oli suhteellisen lyhkäiset hiukset, kuten näet yllä olevasta kuvasta kahden mallin aloitustilanteesta :) Joten lopulliset lookin olivat vieläkin lyhkäisempiä ja todella särmikkäitä, jos saan näin sanoa. Kun rullaat kolme kuvaa alaspäin, näet kaksi kuvaa lopullisista stailatuista lookeista.

Next there where boys’ turn. All the instructors were doing layered haircuts on the lower parts of the head and longer hair on the top. They had some fancy word for this haircut, but I can’t remember what it was called :D I really liked one of the looks, which I made a collage below, because the haircut was different and the styling was so easy, but super effective and looked cool. Just compare the first and the last picture and see how the styling makes the most difference in the world!

Seuraavaksi oli miesten vuoro. Kaikki kouluttajat tekivät kerrostettuja lookkeja, joissa hiukset kerrostuivat pidemmiksi aina alhaalta ylöspäin. Tälle oli näytöksessä joku todella hieno termikin, mutta enhän mä sitä näin äkkiä enään muista :D Itse tykästyin varsinkin tuohon yhteen lookkiin, jonka näet alla olevasta kollaasista. Tykkäsin siitä, koska se oli erilainen ja stailaus oli helppoa, mutta todella tehokasta ulkonäköisenä erona. Katsokaa nyt tuota eroa ensimmäisen ja viimeisen kuvan välillä. Kyllä se stailaus ja hiusten viimeistely vaan tekee suuren eron!

Braids and curling time! This was the most interesting part for me, because I’m super lazy at doing my own hair, but I always envy when I see someone wearing cool braids. Or even curly hair, because my hair can’t hold a curl more than an hour :( So I want to learn how to do cool braids in different ways! In the show I actually learned how to do a 3D-braids (which you can see couple pictures below, where the instructor is holding two sections of hair on her hands) and I tested it out a day after the show. I wreaking love it! The braid looks the same when you look it in any direction, so the braid shows in any direction, not just from looking in front or back. If you get what I’m trying to say :D

Letityksen ja kiharoiden aika! Tämä oli mulle ehdottomasti se kiinnostavin kohta näytöksessä, koska olen itse super laiska omien hiusten stailauksessa ja kadehdin aina esimerkiksi muiden hienoja lettikampauksia. Ja myös ihan vaan kauniita kiharoita, koska mun hiukset eivät pidä kiharaa edes tuntia :( Haluankin oppia tekemään noita ihania lettikampauksia ja erilaisia letityksiä! Opin itseasiassa tuolta näytöksestä tekemään 3D-letitystä (jonka näet pari kuvaa alempana kuvasta, jossa kouluttaja pitää toisessa kädessään itse lettiä) ja kokeilinkin sitä omiin hiuksiini heti seuraavana päivänä. Ja oih että se näytti kivalta! Tuo 3D-letti näyttää siis joka suunnasta samalta, kun sitä kääntelee ympäriinsä.

And the final results! :) In the picture below you can see five of the six instructors that held the show. The one person that is missing, you can see above in the pictures 2-4 (the man with a black flower shirt).

Ja lopulliset kampaukset! :) Alempana olevasta kuvasta näet viisi kuudesta näytöksen kouluttajasta. Kuvasta puuttuva mies näkyy ylempänä kuvissa 2-4 (kukkakuviollinen mustapaitainen mies).

I really loved the show and learned a lot new things about braiding! Now I feel inspired to do more with my hair and maybe I will also watch some Youtube videos and learn how to do a couple more new braid styles! <3

Mä tykkäsin tästä hiusnäytöksestä tosi paljon ja opin samalla monia uusia juttuja kampausten teosta ja letittämisestä! Nyt mulla on inspiraatio tehdä enemmän kampauksia ja ihan vaan stailausta mun hiuksille ja ehkä mä tässä joku päivä myös alan katsomaan vähän youtube videoita ja opettelen muutaman uuden letitystavan! <3

I also got sent a little goodie bag afterwards and it contained: evo’s water killer dry shampoo, L’anza’s healing colorcare color illuminator hair brightening spray, Moroccanoil’s frizz control spray and idhair’s Mé serum cream! :) I’m really excited about these and if I end up loving some of these, you will of course hear about it in a future post.
