SMASHBOX – SPOTLIGHT EVENT

Hello! Last Wednesday I met Smashbox’s team at Kicks Forum in Helsinki to get to know more about Smashbox’s new products and Smashbox’s products in general :) The event was called “Spotlight” in honor of their new Spotlight highlighter palettes and their new radiance primer. In the event Smashbox’s senior artistry trainer Sebastian Gradzik from Poland did my makeup all with Smashbox’s products. I gave him the permission to do whatever kind of makeup look he wanted to do on me, so it would be something totally different for me :) So let’s go and see how the event looked like with my eyes!

Moikka! Viime keskiviikkona tapasin Smashboxin tiimin Helsingin Forumin Kicksissä ja ideana oli tutustua heidän uusimpiin tuotteisiin ja yleisesti Smashboxin meikkeihin :) Tapahtuman nimi oli ”Spotlight” uusien Spotlight korostuspalettien sekä myös tuon uuden Radiance pohjustustuotteen kunniaksi. Tapahtumassa Smashboxin senior artistry trainer Sebastian Gradzik Puolasta teki mun meikin alusta alkaen käyttämällä vain Smashboxin tuotteita. Annoin hänelle vapaat kädet meikin suhteen, koska halusin hänen tekevän jotain mun tyylistä totaalisen poikkeavaa :) Joten katsotaanpas miltä tuo tapahtuma näytti mun silmin!

Naiset ja herrat tavatkaa Sebastian Gradzik, joka on maailman positiivisin & iloisin persoona. Hän myös huokuu niin paljon positiivista ja huumorista energiaa ympärilleen, että ei se voi kun tarttua! :) Mulla oli hänen kanssaan niin hauska meikkisessio ja kyllä kummasti piristyi koko päivä vielä enemmän hänen iloisen energian vuoksi!

And this is how my makeup looked after six hours of travelling, watery eyes and after a little rain on the way back home. Really glowy skin, lots of highlighter, “brownish” smoky eye and nude lips (thought, in these after photos my lipstick is worn off). I loved it <3 Totally different for me, because I always do totally matte skin with some highlighter and I don’t wear nude lipsticks (because I don’t own any good shades of nudes). But I was totally in love with this look and I felt like Desi Perkins with the glowy skin and smoky eyes :) Now I will be doing some more glowy skin looks! Sebastian used these products on me:

Ja tältä mun meikki näytti kuuden tunnin matkustuksen, vuotavien silmien ja pienen sateen jälkeen. Todella kuulakas iho, paljon korostusta, ”ruskehtavat” sumusilmät ja nudet huulet (tässä tosin huulipuna onkin jo kulunut huulilta pois). Mä tykkään ja paljon <3 Totaalisen erilaista mulle, koska mähän teen aina täysin mattaa ihoa, jossa on korostustuotetta korkeimmilla kohdilla ja en myöskään käytä nudeja huulipunia (koska en omista yhtäkään hyvän nuden sävyistä punaa). Mutta rakastin siis tätä lookkia älyttömän paljon ja olo oli kuin Desi Perkinssillä kuulakkaan ihon ja sumusilmien kanssa :) Nyt mäkin alan vihdoin tekemään kuulakkaampia meikkipohja lookkeja! Sebastian käytti mun meikissä esimerkiksi seuraavia tuotteita:

Glowy skin, healthy & fresh looking makeup, nude lips, sparkle, selfies, having fun with makeup and surrounded with people with the same passion. That was the event all about! Thank you Smashbox Finland’s team, Successstory pr, Smashbox team and specially Sebastian for making this day so special and full of happiness and joy <3 I really enjoyed it :) And now I just want to test out so much more Smashbox’s products! Products that I really want to test out and which stand out for me this time were the radiance primer, studio skin foundation & concealer, step-by-step contour kit, the spotlight palette in pearl, Cover shot palette in Golden Hour and always on gel eye liners (for the waterline and as a base for eyeshadows!). I think I have to put some of these in my shopping list :D

Kuulakas iho, terveen ja freshin näköinen pohjameikki, nudet huulet, kimallusta, selfieitä ja meikki-intoilua saman intohimon jakavien ihmisten ympäröimänä. Niitä oli tämä tapahtuma täynnä! Kiitos Smashboxin Suomen tiimi, Successstory pr, Smashboxin ulkomaiden vahvistus tiimi ja ennen kaikkea Sebastian mahtavan spesiaalista päivästä, joka oli täynnä iloa ja naurua <3 Mä todella nautin tästä ajasta teidän kanssa :) Ja nyt mä haluan ehdottomasti päästä testailemaan tosi monia Smashboxin meikkejä, joten niitähän pääty jo jokunen mun meikkien shoppailulistalle! Tuotteita, jotka todella ihastuttivat mua olivat radiance primer, studio skin meikkivoide & peiteaine, step-by-step contour kit, Spotlight korostuspaletti sävyssä pearl, Cover shot luomiväripaletti sävyssä Golden Hour ja always on gel eye linerit (silmien sisärajaukseen ja pohjaksi luomiväreille!).

I also got a goodie bag, which actually included some of the products I mentioned earlier! :) I got the radiance primer, studio skin hydrating foundation in my shade (0,5), Smashbox x Casey Holmes Spotlight palette in Gold and Always on liquid lipstick in the shade Thrill Seeker <3 I’m so excited about these, because three of these were in my shopping list and now I can test them out right away! SMASHBOX – BLEMISH CONTROL PRIMER

Hello! Today I thought I would tell you more about my most used primer, Smashbox’s Photo Finish blemish control primer. I don’t own that many primers, because lot of them break my skin out and then I can’t use them. So I have used three same primers from summer until January and this has got the most use from those three.

Moikka! Tänään ajattelin kertoa teille vähäsen lisää mun lähiaikoina eniten käyttämästä pohjustustuotteesta eli primerista. Kyseessähän on siis Smashboxin Photo Finish blemish control primer. En itseasiassa omista hirveän montaa primeria, koska monet pohjustuotteet saa mun ihon puskemaan finnejä pintaan oikein urakalla ja sen takia en olekaan ostanut vähään aikaan primereita. Olen kesästä asti käyttänyt kolmea samaa primeria vaihdellen niiden välillä mieleni mukaan. Niistä tämä Smashboxin pohjustustuote on ehdottomasti saanut eniten käyttöä sitten kesän.

Last summer I used Make up for ever’s step 1 mattifying primer for my t-zone and this Smashbox’s one for the rest of my face. After I changed my skincare products and got a less oily skin, I haven’t needed that Make up for ever’s primer anymore. So this has been the one I have been using.

Viime kesänä käytin vielä ahkeraan Make up for everin step 1 mattifying primer pohjustustuotetta t-alueellani, koska ihoni oli silloin todella rasvainen. Silloin käytin Smashboxin pohjustustuotetta lopuille kasvoilleni. Kun vihdoin kesän lopulla muutin kaikki ihonhoitotuotteeni, muuttui ihoni vähemmän rasvoittuvaksi ja en tarvinnut enään Make up for everin primeria. Joten siitä lähtien olen pääsääntöisesti käyttänyt tätä ja kesän jälkeen tosiaan koko kasvoilleni.

Smashbox Photo Finish blemish control primer promises to treat breakouts, provide oil-free hydration and keep the skin clearer overtime. This contains 2% of salicylic acid, which of course helps fight against blemishes.

Smashbox Photo Finish blemish control primer lupaa hoitaa epäpuhtauksia, kosteuttaa ihoa öljyttömällä koostumuksellaan ja ajan myötä vähentää epäpuhtauksien määrää kasvoilla. Tuotehan sisältää kaksi prosenttia salisyylihappoa, joka tässä siis auttaa siinä epäpuhtauksien nitistämisessä.

A full size Smashbox’s primer is 30ml and I paid 27.90 euros for it from Silja Seranade :) In Finland you can also get Smashbox from Kicks, but the prizes are of course a little bit higher than in tax-free shops in Siljas.

Täysikokoinen Smashboxin pohjustustuubi on 30 milliä ja itse maksoin sellaisesta Silja Seranadella 27.90 euroa :) Suomesta Smashboxia saa ainakin Kickseistä, mutta siellä hinnat ovat tietenkin vähän laivan tax-free kauppoja korkeammat.

This primer has a silicone gel formula that forms “a film” like coat on top of the skin. Some of it also sinks into the skin, but as a primer it’s meant to stay between the skin and the makeup.

Koostumukseltaan tämä on silikonisen geelimäinen ja se muodostaa ihon pinnalle ohuen kalvomaisen pinnan. Osa tästä tietenkin ”imeytyy” ihoon, mutta kuten primerilla on tarkoituksena, luo tämäkin kalvon ihon ja meikin väliin suojaamaan ihoa.

So what I think about this primer? I think this is a good everyday primer for normal skin, which has blemishes in it. Usually when I have a big pimple and I have to wear makeup on top of it, it just gets worst. But what I have noticed is that when I use this primer under my makeup, the blemishes I have, don’t get bigger throughout the day. I don’t say that my blemishes would get better within one day of wearing this, but they certainly aren’t getting bigger. I can’t say if this has got something to do with my skin getting better last year, because I also changed my skincare products at the same time I started to use this primer.

Joten mitä mieltä olen sitten tästä itse pohjustustuotteesta? Mun mielestä tämä on hyvä primeri normaalille ihotyypille, jossa on vähän epäpuhtauksia. Yleensä kun mulla on kasvoissa isompi finni ja menen laittamaan siihen päälle meikkiä päivän ajaksi, muuttuu tuo mökäle aina vaan isommaksi ja kipeämmäksi päivän mittaan. Mutta yksi seikka jonka olen huomannut tämän primerin kanssa on se, että jos käytän tätä meikin alla, hoitaa salisyylihappo päivän aikana tehtäväänsä ja isoista finneistä ei tule päivän aikana ainakaan pahempia. En siis missään nimessä sano, että tämä hävittäisi epäpuhtauksia päivän aikana, mutta ei tämä ainakaan tee niistä pahempia normaalin meikin tapaan. En osaa sanoa onko tämä parantanut ihoni kuntoa kesästä lähtien, koska samoihin aikoihin tämän käyttöönoton aikaan vaihdoin vihdoin myös kaikki ihonhoitotuotteeni ja ihostani on sen jälkeen tullut paljon parempi.

But what I like the most about this primer is that it goes well with my favorite everyday foundation, Maybelline’s Fit Me matte + poreless foundation. This primer keeps it on longer, makes the foundation go on smoother, hydrates the skin, while still keeping it matter and gives skincare beneficial care for the skin. So I think this is a good primer, but would I repurchase it? For now I wouldn’t, because I have started to look more of a pore filling/pore blurring primers and I want to try to find that primer that makes me say WOW. But this is still definitely a good primer, but as a beauty blogger, I always want to test out something new, if the last product didn’t gave me that WOW factor :D

Mutta se seikka, josta tykkään tässä eniten on se, että tämä menee niin hyvin yhteen suosikki arkimeikkivoiteeni kanssa eli Maybellinen Fit Me matte + poreless meikkivoiteen kanssa. Tämä blemish control primeri pitää meikkini hyvännäköisenä pidempään, saa meikkivoiteen levittymään tasaisemmin iholle, kosteuttaa ihoa tukkimatta ihohuokoisia samalla kuitenkin pitäen ihon mattaisempana ja samalla hoitaa ihoa puhdistavilla ominaisuuksillaan. Joten mielestäni tämä on hyvä pohjustuote, mutta ostaisinko tätä uudelleen? Tällä hetkellä en ostaisi, koska olen alkanut arvostamaan aina vain enemmän ihohuokoisia häivyttäviä pohjustustuotteita ja haluan löytää primereita, jotka saavat mun sanomaan WOW. Tämä on siis ehdottomasti hyvä pohjustustuote, mutta kauneusbloggaajana haluan aina vaan testata uusia meikkejä, jos edellinen ei aiheuttanut minussa WOW huokausta :D

ORANGE ON ORANGE – MAKEUP LOOK

Hello! I have been into orange tones makeup lately. Here is one of the many looks I have done, but this time I took some photos of the look :) I used Shaaanxo palette from bh cosmetics to create this summery eye makeup. It has really good pigmentation and of course couple of fabulous warm toned colors. I also used lot of stuff that has become stables for my work makeup. I just know they will last well for 9-10 hours and I can count on them. I will write more about those on my July beauty favorites :) You have to wait until that to hear more :p But now I will go to get ready and then we are off to movies. It is time for some action movie! Bye and have a fantastic Sunday :)

Moikka! Lähiaikoina olen kyllä tykästynyt oranssiin taittaviin meikkeihin. Tässä on yksi niistä monista meikkilookeista, joita olen tehnyt ja joka oikeasti päätyi kameralle asti :) Tässä kesäisessä lookissa käytin bh cosmeticsin Shaaanxo luomiväripalettia. Paletissa on hyvä pigmentti ja tottakai kauniita lämpimän sävyisiä luomivärejä. Käytin myös paljon tuotteita, joista on tullut mun luottotuotteita työmeikkiin, koska tiedän niiden kestävän hyvännäköisinä 9-10 tuntia. Kirjoitan noista enemmän sitten Heinäkuun kauneussuosikit postauksessa :) Teidän täytyy odottaa sinne saakka kuullaksenne lisää :p Mutta nyt menen valmistumaan ja sitten on aika lähteä elokuviin katsomaan toimintaelokuvaa! BOUGHTS FROM STOCKHOLM

Hello! So couple weeks ago we went to Stockholm to spend some quality time with my boyfriend and of course to do some shopping. My shopping list was full of makeup and skincare. My boyfriend covered the clothing side. I bought lot of stuff from Sephora, because we don’t have access to some of their brands in Finland. But I thought I would show you all the stuff I bought on this trip, except the ones I bought from Sephora. I will so the things I bought from Sephora next week :) So these are what I bought!

Heippa! Tosiaan pari viikkoa sitten matkustimme poikaystäväni kanssa Tukholmaan viettämään laatuaikaa yhdessä ja samalla tietenkin myös shoppailemaan. Mun shoppailulistalta löytyi vain meikkejä ja ihonpuhdistusaineita. Poikaystäväni kattoi sitten vaatteiden oston puolen. Sephorasta tuli ostettua paljon meikkejä, koska sieltähän löytyy paljon merkkejä, joita ei saa suomeen tai joita on hankala saada suomeen. Mutta ajattelin nyt tässä postauksessa näyttää teille kaikki ostokseni reissulta, Sephoraa lukuunottamatta. Sephoran ostokset näette sitten ensi viikolla :) Joten eikun sitten näihin ostoksiin!

Couple things I bought from Lush. I have wanted to buy these for a while, but I decided to wait until we traveled to Stockholm. I bought big jar of Angels on bare skin, which is a daily face scrub. Smaller jar is Mask of Magnaminty, which is a cooling mud mask. So excited to try these out :)

Muutama tuote Lushilta. Olen jo pitkään halunnut ostaa nämä, mutta päätin kuitenkin odottaa tätä reissua. Ostin ison purkin Angels on Bare Skin päivittäistä kasvokuorintaa ja pienen purkin Mask of Magnaminty mutanaamiota. Kokeilen näitä kyllä innolla :)

Then I bought two face soaps from Helsinki were we took off with the ship. I bought Himalayan crystal salt soap and black soap from Ruohonjuuri.

Kaksi kasvosaippuaa ostin Helsingin päästä, josta laivamme lähti matkaan. Himalajan kristallisuola saippua ja mustasaippua auttamaan finnien ehkäisyssä löytyivät Ruohonjuuresta.

Second jar of the Lumene’s bright now vitamin c shine control moisturizer. Thought this is a new formula with a “moisturizer” instead of a cream and this is also pore minimizing and oil-free. Sounds even more promising! Hopefully this is even better than the last jar.

Toinen purkki Lumenen bright now vitamin c kiiltoa kontrolloivaa voidegeeliä. Tässä on nyt kyllä vanhaan verrattuna uusi koostumus. Voiteeseen on lisätty ihohuokoisia pienentävä ominaisuus ja voide on nykyään öljytöntä. Kuullostaa lupaavalta! Toivotaan että tämä on vielä parempaa kuin edellinen purkki.

Of course when I went to Silja’s (the ship) tax free shop, I got to get my hands on one of Smashbox’s primers. I bought photo finish blemish control primer :)

Tottakai kun menin Siljan (eli laivan) tax free kauppaan, oli mun saatava käsiini yksi Smashboxin pohjustusvoide eli primeri. Ostin pohjustusvoiteen, jonka pitäisi samalla myös hoitaa epäpuhtauksia kasvoillani :)

Urban Decay’s Naked skin concealer in fair neutral! I found it :) I have waited for over three months this to get back in stock in Finland, but no. Now I got it from Stockholm’s Kicks and it works like a dream! New favorite :)

Urban Decayn Naked skin peiteaine sävyssä fair neutral! Mä löysin tän :) Olen odottanut yli kolme kuukautta, että tämä sävy tulisi takaisin Sokoksen verkkokauppaan, mutta ei. No nyt se löytyi Tukholman Kicksistä ja tämä toimii kyllä kuin unelma. Ehdottomasti uusi lemppari :)

Urban Decay’s afterglow highlighter in the shade aura. This is a gorgeous pink undertoned highlighter with a cool purple twist in it in certain lights. Another new favorite of mine :)

That was all of it :) Lot of skincare and some makeup essentials, which all are causing a smile on my face. All long waited and needed. Happy to finally get to use these :) Who is excited to see the rest of the stuff I bought (from Sephora!)? I am. Weird. But I still am excited. But now I will go wash my face and go to sleep. Ja siinä ne olivat :) Paljon ihonhoito juttuja ja muutama tarpeellinen meikkituote, jotka kaikki aiheuttavat mulle hymyn kasvoille. Kaikki tarkkaan harkittuja ostoksia ja paljon kaivattuja tuotteita. Oon niin onnellinen, että pääsen vihdoin käyttämään näitä :) Kuka on innoissaan odottamassa sitä mitä ostin Sephorasta? Mä olen. Outoa. Mutta olen silti innoissani. Nyt menen vihdoin pesemään naamani ja menen nukkumaan. Toivottavasti teillä kaikilla oli mahtava torstai ja hyvää yötä :)
