Hello! Sometime ago I got a huge pr-package from Lumene and it was full of their newer makeup products, that I haven’t test out at all. Lumene renewed all of their product a year or so ago and made all of their products more innovating and up to this day. I remember Lumene being one of the first makeup brands I used as a teenager, because it’s a Finnish brand that lot of people used back then and I have used so many different Lumene’s products as a teenager. I have to say that now after the renewing, the prices have gotten really high for Lumene being a “drugstore” brand, but I think Lumene was targeting to get out of that box, when they released all of their new products.
But today I’m testing out my teenager year’s old love Lumene again and I’m doing a first impressions on these products. So you will be seeing my first thoughts and also some updated thoughts in this post, because I filmed this a while back and I have used the products a lot since that. So let’s see how these products work! :)
Moikka! Sain jo jokunen aika sitten Lumenelta todella innostavan suuren pr-paketin, joka oli täynnä heidän uudistettuja tuotteitaan. Lumenehan uudisti viime vuonna (vai tänä vuonna?) kaikki heidän tuotteet ja teki niistä innovatiivisempia sekä enemmän tätä päivää. Muistan Lumenen tuotteiden olleen yksiä mun ensimmäisiä meikkiostoksia teini-iässä, koska varsinkin silloin tosi moni nuori käytti Lumenen meikkipohjatuotteita. Tästä syystä olenkin teini-iässä testannut jos jonkin näköistä Lumenen tuotetta. Mun on pakko kyllä sanoa, että nyt tämän uudistuksen myötä Lumenen meikkien hinnat ovat nousseet oikein urakalla, mutta myös tuotteista on tullut ulkonäöltään paljon kauniimpia ja sisällöistä monien mielestä myös parempia laadultaan.
Joten tänään ensitestiin lähtee tosiaan mun teiniajan rakkauden Lumenen uudet tuotteet ja teen näistä ensikokeilut ja -ajatukset postauksen. Kuvasin tämän jo jokunen aika sitten, joten tulen kertomaan osasta tuotteista myös tämän päivän päivitettyjä kuulumisia. Joten kurkataanpas miten nämä tuotteet toimivat!

I always start with my eye makeup, so today I’m using Lumene’s Nordic Noir eyeshadow palette in the shade 3 Rose Gold. This palette didn’t have good transition shades for my fair skin, so firstly I used Makeup Geek’s Peach Smoothie and Crème Brulee. Then I added matte beige, lilac and that sparkly cooltoned shade from the palette. The lilac shade that I used wasn’t that pigmented, it needed lot of layering, it blended weird and not evenly. The sparkly shade was good for the look I was going for (light glow on the center), but if I would want to have really shiny eye makeup, this would be a terribly choice for that. This is more of a day time palette for light wash of color, but because the colors won’t blend easily, I have to say that I would go with something else. So this is a no-go for me.
Mä aloitan meikin teon aina mun silmämeikistä ja tänään käyttöön lähti Lumenen Nordic Noir luomiväripaletti sävyssä 3 Rose Gold / Ruusukulta. Tästä paletista ei löytynyt mulle sopivaa häivytyssävyä, joten ennen tämän paletin käyttöä mä laitoin Makeup Geekin Peach Smoothie ja Créme Brulee sävyjä mun luomille häivytyssävyiksi. Lumenen paletista käytin tähän silmämeikkiin mattaista beigeä, lilaa ja tuota vaaleata kimaltavaa sävyä. Lilan sävy ei ollut kovinkaan pigmenttinen ja se vaati paljon kerrostamista ollakseen edes kuvissa näkyvän pigmentin veroinen. Tuo sävy myös häivyttyi todella huonosti ja epätasaisesti. Kimaltava sävy oli ihan hyvä siihen tarkoitukseen mitä mä tältä tällä kertaa hain (kevyt kuulaus luomen keskellä), mutta jos haluaisin jotain kunnolla kimaltavaa sävyä mun luomella, niin tästä ei kyllä olisi siihen. Tämä paletti on enemmänkin sopiva arkikäyttöön todella kevyisiin silmämeikkeihin, mutta koska nuo sävyt eivät häivyty helposti, niin mun täytyy sanoa, että valkkaisin paljon mieluummin jonkun muun luomiväripaletin. Joten tämä ei mene jatkoon.
Do you see my happy face in this picture? :) This was a huge surprise! Lumene’s Instant glow beauty serum in the shade Light. I didn’t know what to expect from a glowy beauty serum that has tint in it. But this is brilliant! You know that I love to do “no foundation routine” on everyday basics and this is amazing for that <3 You can just apply this onto your face with your fingers and I can blend this out in twenty seconds. This gives a healthy and glowy looking skin and more you put on, the more glowier you will look. So of course I’m using a ton to look like a glowy goddess. Like I said, this has a tint in it, but the coverage is less than in a cc-cream, so if you’re looking for coverage, this is not for that. Under the foundation yes, but not for extra coverage. This has been my new go-to and I love this. This is a go for sure!
Näettekö mun super iloisen ilmeen tässä kuvassa? :) Tämä tuote oli suuri yllätys! Lumenen Instant glow beauty serum sävyssä Light. En oikein tiennyt mitä odottaa sävylliseltä hehkuvalta kauneusseerumilta, mutta tämä on ihan mahtava tuote! Kyllähän te tiedätte että mä en arkena käytä ollenkaan meikkivoidetta ja tämä on ollut ihan mahtava tuote kasvoille juurikin niinä päivinä tuomaan ekstra hehkua <3 Tämän voi levittää kasvoille ihan sormin ja häivytys käy alle 20 sekunnissa. Tämä tuo kasvoille tervettä sekä kauniinnäköistä hehkua ja mitä enemmän tätä laittaa, niin sitä kuulaammalta iho vain näyttää. Joten totta kai mä käytän tätä runsaasti, jotta mä näytän kuulaalta jumalattarelta. Tämä on sävyllinen seerumi, mutta sävy ei ole peittävyydeltään edes lähelläkään cc-voidetta, joten yksinään tämä ei toimi, jos etsit tuotteelta peittävyyttä. Meikkivoiteen alla tämä voisi toimia, mutta lisäpeittävyyttä tällä ei saa. Tämä on ollut mun uusi go-to tuote ja mä rakastan tätä <3 Ehdottomasti jatkoon!
Lumene’s serum concealer in Universal shade. This is WAY too dark for me, so I wouldn’t say this shade is universal at all. Like the name says, this is a serum concealer, so I wasn’t expecting that much coverage. Like you can see in the picture above, this had so little coverage, but one good thing was that this doesn’t have to be set with powder! That’s nice, but because I have dark circles I have to say this is a no-go for me.
Lumenen serum concealer eli seerumipeiteaine sävyssä Universal Light. Tämä on mulle sävyltään AIVAN liian tumma, joten en todellakaan sanoisi tätä universaaliksi sävyksi. Kuten nimi jo sanoo, niin tämä on seerumipeiteaine, joten en edes odottanut tuotteelta hyvää peittävyyttä. Kuten yllä olevasta kuvasta näkyy, niin tässä ei kyllä paljoakaan tuota peittoa ollut. Yksi hyvä asia tässä kuitenkin on ja se on se, että tätä ei tarvitse puuteroida! Se on ihanaa, mutta mun tummilla silmänalusilla mun on sanottava, ei jatkoon.
Next up is Lumene’s watercolor bronzer. Sounds scary, I know. This gave a nice really natural bronzed look, when I put this on generously. I needed two layers to get this income, but it still didn’t look like a strike or makeup on my face. J-Lo kind of healthy and glowy summer kissed look. This blended really easily with a dampen beauty sponge and I really like this. This is an easy product for everyday wear and that is what I have used this for :) Definitely a go!
Seuraavana olisi Lumenen watercolor bronzer eli nestemäinen aurinkopuuteri. Mä tiedän, kuulostaa pelottavalta! Tämä antoi iholle ihanan luonnollisen ruskettuneen fiiliksen, kun tuotetta vain laittoi iholle tarpeeksi. Itse käytin tämän kuvissa näkyvän lopputuloksen saamiseen kahta kerrosta, mutta tuo ei siltikään näyttänyt mitenkään liialta mun kasvoilla. J-Lo:n tyyppinen terveen, kuulaan ja ”ruskettuneen” näköinen lopputulos. Sävy häivyttyi erittäin hyvin kostealla meikkisienellä ja mä kyllä tykkäsin. Tämä on helppo tuote arkeen ja siihen mä olen tätä nyt useasti käyttänytkin :) Ehdottomasti jatkoon!
My new favorite product! I wasn’t expecting Lumene’s liquid highlighter to be that great to be honest, but look at that glow! First of all the shade is gorgeous <3 This is called Instant illuminizer. With one layer you get a really amazing glow for everyday basics that shows well on the skin and still doesn’t look like a stripe. With two layers you get the results that you can see in the picture above and the lighting isn’t even giving this highlighter justice. It’s much more intensive in person. I have been using this almost every day with my no foundation routine and I’m loving this <3 I’m shocked and this is a go.
Mun uusi lemppari tuote! Rehellisesti mä en odottanut Lumenen nestemäisen korostustuotteen olevan mitenkään häikäisevä, mutta katsokaa nyt tuota hehkua! Ensinnäkin tämä sävy on upea <3 Nimeltään tätä kutsutaan Instant illuminizer hehkutipoiksi. Yhdellä kerroksella saat joka päivään sopivan hyvin iholta erottuvan hehkun, joka ei näytä valoviivalta kasvoilla. Kahdella kerroksella tulee taas kuvassa näkyvää jälkeä ja nämä kuvat eivät edes tee oikeutta tuolle hehkulle. Kasvokkain tämä on paljon intensiivisempi. Olen käyttänyt tätä lähes joka päivä mun ”ei meikkivoidetta rutiinissa” ja mä olen rakastunut <3 Olen yllättynyt ja tämä menee ehdottomasti jatkoon.
Lumene’s watercolor blush, which was at the first try a little bit naaah. I couldn’t get this to blend out evenly and I can’t understand why not. The color was beautiful as was the finish. I have used this many times after this first try and now I like this. Lately I have not wanted to powder my face in everyday basics (only under my eyes) and when I use these kinds of liquid products, I don’t even have to powder my face! And I’m loving it :) I have to say that now this product is a go for me. Not the best blush in general, but the best liquid one that I have tested!
Lumenen watercolor blush eli nestemäinen poskipuna, joka oli tällä ensimmäisellä kokeilullaan vähän näääh. En saanut tätä levittymään tasaisesti ja en vain ymmärtänyt miksi. Sävy oli kaunis, samoin kuin koostumus. Olen käyttänyt tätä näiden kuvien oton jälkeen useaan kertaan ja nykyään tykkään tästä, koska saan levitettyä sen tasaisesti. En ole lähiaikoina halunnut arkisin puuteroida mun kasvoja (muuta kuin silmien alta) ja kun käytän tällaisia nestemäisiä tuotteita, niin mun ei edes tarvitse puuteroida! Ja mä tykkään siitä :) Mun täytyy sanoa, että nykyään tämä tuote menee multa jatkoon. Tämä ei ole paras poskipuna ikinä, mutta ehdottomasti paras nestemäinen poskipuna jota olen testannut!
Uuh mama that glow! I added some white powder highlighter from Lumene’s Nordic Nude illuminating palette (01) on top of that liquid highlighter and just look at that glow <3 On top of a liquid highlighter this gives a really intense glow and on its own, it’s a really nice glow too, but of course it’s not that intensive! And on its own, it needs to be built up for a good glow. I like the white shade in this palette both ways and I have to say a go for that.
Uuuuh mama tuo hehku! Lisäsin tuon nestemäisen korostustuotteen päälle valkoista korostuspuuteria Lumenen Nordic Nude illuminating (01) korostuspuuteripaletista ja katsokaa nyt tuota hehkua <3 Nestemäisen korostustuotteen päällä tämä luo kyllä todella intensiivisen hehkun ja yksinään tämä on myös todella hehkuva, mutta ei toki niin älytön, kuin näissä kuvissa. Yksinään tätä toki tarvitsee useamman kerroksen, jotta se hehku on kunnollinen. Mä tykkään tästä valkoisesta sävyssä kummallakin tavalla ja mun täytyy sanoa tälle jatkoon.
Firstly I applied Lumene’s lip perfector balm (universal shade), which felt good on the lips and left a moisturizing feeling. Wasn’t sticky and this was easy to apply from the tube. I will use this for sure. Then I put on Lumene’s Nordic Seduction matte lipstick in the shade 1 Twilight Moment. The color was right in my alley, but the lipstick was really hard to apply evenly from the tube and the lipstick needed two layers to be this pigmented. The color didn’t transfer onto my teethes as easily as a normal matte lipsticks would do. So that was a huge plus. I’m not that much of a normal lipstick lover, because I like to wear a longwear liquid lipstick or a gloss instead. So for me this is a no go, because the normal lipstick formula, that would have to be reapplied several times during the day.
That was the last product in this post that I tried for the first time and now you can see some photos of the finished look :)
Ensin levitin huulilleni Lumenen lip perfector balm huulivoidetta sävyssä Universal shade, joka tuntui huulilla hyvältä ja kosteuttavalta. Ei mitenkään tahmea ja tätä oli myös helppo levittää huulille suoraan tuubista. Käytän tämän varmasti loppuun. Sitten levitin huulille Lumenen Nordic Seduction matte lipstick mattaista huulipunaa sävyssä 1 Twilight Moment. Sävy oli ehdottomasti mun mieleen, mutta huulipunan koostumus itsessään ei. Tätä oli hankalaa levittää tasaisesti suoraan hylsystä huuliin ja kerroksiakin vaadittiin kaksi tämän pigmentin saamiseksi. Tämä huulipuna ei tarttunut mun hampaisiin niin helposti, kuin mattapunissa se normaalisti tarttuu, joten se oli ehdottomasti suuri plussa. En ole tavallisten huulipunien suuri ystävä, koska mä tykkään joko käyttää huulilla pitkään kestävää nestemäistä mattapunaa tai sitten huulikiiltoa. Joten mulla tämä ei pääse jatkoon normaalin huulipuna koostumuksen takia, koska sitä täytyisi olla jatkuvasti lisäämässä huulille pitkin päivää.
Tämä olikin sitten viimeinen tuote jota tänään testaan ja seuraavaksi näette muutaman kuvan lopullisesta meikistä :)
It was so interesting to try out Lumene’s products again and I actually found couple really amazing gems in these. So which products I LOVED? I really love the instant illuminizer and the instant glow beauty serum! I also like the watercolor bronzer, watercolor blush, Nordic Nude illuminating palette and lip perfector balm. Lastly for the products I didn’t like that much were the eyeshadow palette, serum concealer and that matte lipstick. Oli kyllä todella mielenkiintoista testata uudelleen Lumenen tuotteita pitkän tauon jälkeen ja mä löysin näiden joukosta kyllä muutaman timantin. Joten mitä tuotteita mä näistä RAKASTAN? Mä todella rakastuin instant illuminizer hehkutippoihin ja instant glow beauty serum seerumiin! Tykkäsin myös nestemäisestä aurinkopuuterista ja – poskipunasta, Nordic Nude illuminating korostuspaletista ja tuosta huulirasvasta. Viimeisenä ja vähäisimpänä, en kyllä tykästynyt testaamaani luomiväripalettiin, seerumipeiteaineeseen enkä tuohon mattapunaan.
